Budgie Bedding
Budgie Bedding
The bottom of your budgie’s cage needs paper lining so you can clean it every day. Also, keep an eye on their poop—like, check if it looks weird, ‘cause that could mean they’re sick.
There’s a bunch of cheap, easy-to-find paper you can use:
- Newspaper (obviously)
- Paper towels (the plain ones)
- Plain paper from packaging (like the brown stuff)
- Brown paper bags (from the grocery store)
- Butcher paper (if you can find it)
Don’t use glossy ads—the ink might be toxic if your budgie eats it. Also, stay away from pelleted paper or crushed corn cob bedding. Those hold moisture, and that’s bad ‘cause it can grow mold, especially if it’s warm. Plus, it hides sick-bird signs like extra-wet poop, which you’d wanna notice.
Short version: keep it simple, use basic paper, and don’t overcomplicate it.
