Feeding Dishes

When picking out dishes for your budgie, you’ve got a few solid options:

  • Plastic ones with little hooks to hang ’em up
  • Stainless steel bowls that clip onto the cage bars
  • Heavy ceramic crocks that just sit on the cage floor (good if you’ve got a clumsy bird!)

Here’s the deal – keep their dry food, fresh snacks, and water in separate dishes. And make sure the water dish is big enough for them to splash around in if they wanna take a quick bath.

Got multiple birds? Give each one their own food spot so they don’t get all territorial at mealtime.

Oh, and check those dishes regularly – if they’re cracked or chewed up, swap ’em out before your bird gets hurt.

Last thing: scrub those dishes every single day. Nobody wants crusty old food sitting around.

(Yeah, I know it sounds like a lot, but happy birds = happy life!)
